Overview
Siberian Husky is a dog breed that belongs to the Spitz generic family. Their blue or multi-colored eyes and striking facial masks only add to the appeal of this breed, which makes it recognizable by its thickly furred double coat, erect triangular ears, and distinctive marking, but mind you, this breeds are athletic and intelligent enough to act independently to challenge a first time dog parent.
The males siberian husky is ideally between 20 and 24 inches (51cm and 61cm) tall at the withers and weighing between 45 and 60 pounds (20kg and 27kg), while the females smaller in growing between 19 and 23 inches (48cm and 58cm) tall at the withers and weighing between 35 and 50 pounds (16kg and 23kg).
Behavior
Siberian Husky howls instead of barking, they have been described to be an escape artist, which makes them dig, chewing or jumping over fences.
Their up bringing is like a family setting by the Chukchi, they never fend things themselves, they could be trusted with kids at home. They exhibit high energy indoors, have special exercise needs, and may be destructive without proper care.
Sirebian Husky breeds have a high prey drive due to the Chukchi allowing them to roam around freely in the summer. The dogs hunted in packs and preyed on the wild cats, birds, and squirrels, but with the training can be trusted with other animals. They only return home when the snow returned and food became scarce. Their hunting instincts can still be found in breed today, noted by their high prey-drive.

Siberian Husky breeds are gentle and friendly in nature. They cannot be use as a guard dog, this breeds typically have no aggression towards humans, they often shows independence, which leads to their disqualification of been a service dogs. Trying to teach a siberian husky aggressive behavior can lead to mental disorder in the dog. This can be dangerous for the owner.
The dogs very intelligent, but can be stubborn at times because of its independence, impulsivity and inattention. To achieve obedience for this breed, it is highly beneficial to start training at an early age.
